|On 28 July, 1940 South African ace A.G. "Sailor" Malan encountered German ace Werner Molders during an air battle off Dover, England. Both men were among the very best at their dangerous trade.
Among the legendary pilots who fought the Battle of Britain, the "Few", Malan was known as the most tenacious of them all. He was fiercely determined to shoot down as many Germans as possible and by the end of the war he had 35 victories, a DSO and bar. This print is signed by five South African Battle of Britain pilots, and the artist.
